Welcome
to our website to complement our recently restored beamed cottage, to be
found in the south-west of France near the town of Carcassonne with its
fairy-tale castle and city, which was used as the film sets of Robin
Hood Prince of Thieves, Jack the Giant Killer, Cinderella and
several more. If you have read the brilliant award winning book
"Labyrinth" or Sepulchre, by Kate Mosse, then this is the
holiday place for you.

Our
beautiful, recently renovated cottage, has its own terrace and garden
and parking nearby, sleeps 4 comfortably in 2 bedrooms. Situated
20 minutes from medieval Carcassonne, with its quaint, narrow, cobbled
streets, open-air market, and magnificent walled citadel, film set for
Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. Flights direct to Carcassonne are
available from Stansted, Liverpool and East Midlands with Ryanair, or
into Toulouse with Flybe.
The
cottage, is in a pretty village, an hour from the Med, and 1.5 hours
from Andorra and the Spanish border. Wonderful walking, literally from
the door, horse riding, swim in the pure mountain water of one of the
nearby bathing lakes or if you prefer, there is a pool in the village.
Perhaps try the “degustations” from some of the local vineyards –
this is the most prolific wine-growing region of France, after all. You
might take a few bottles back and sit on our balcony, look out across
the wooded valley and watch the buzzards hunt their prey whilst you sip
your wine.
